Wedding Wednesday: Venue Barn1890 & Little Love Events

Wedding Wednesday looks at the glorious wedding venue Barn1890 and it’s stylist Little Love Events

Barn1890 is located on Culley Rd in Sellicks Hill, South Australia. On the property is also the Sea and Vines Cottage, this B & B is available to the newlyweds for their first night of wedded bliss. We loved staying there and it allowed us to finish the night with a short walk, rather than a long car ride. The cottage was also available the night before the nuptials so that either the bride or groom could get ready there the morning of the wedding. In our case Zac and his groomsfolk used the area to get dolled up and ready for their close ups.

Ceremony Venue

The ceremony area is infront of a large, beautiful old tree. There are many options to choose from when in comes to seating, we decided to use the chairs included in our package to get married in the round. Being an actor this just felt natural!

The grounds are amazing and breathtaking. There are many differing landscapes that are perfect for photos after the ceremony.

Reception Venue

The reception venue shares the land with the B & B and the ceremony tree. It is an old barn that has been renovated to become the perfect venue. It’s warm, cozy and has an air of vintage about it. The venue was styled by Little Love Events which complemented my Commissioned Art centrepieces perfectly!

The venue being set up

After dinner was consumed the longer tables were moved to the side to reveal the dancefloor! Everyone had a hoot without having to leave the warmth of the barn (it was quite chilly outside).

Caitlin and Zac's First Dance

Our venue was perfect and communicating with the owners, Lee and Colin, was a breeze. They helped manage everything and opened the venue to us the day before to set everything up. If I was to ever get married again (Twice to Zac) I would choose here in a heartbeat.

You can also stay at the beautiful B & B throughout the year. We, unfortunately, won’t be able to make it down for our first wedding anniversary but are looking forward to spending our second one in this remarkable location.
