A few weeks ago I shared the art we had commissioned for our wedding. Now it’s time to see what I did with them!
Many people who know me, or anyone who follows me on Instagram, would know that I love Funko Pop Vinyls. I am obsessed with them. I never meant to become obsessed but it happened and now my tiny apartment is filled to the brim. You may be wondering ‘Why is this relevant to her wedding?’ – the answer is simple. Pop Vinyls + Commissioned Art + A Theme= My wedding centrepieces.
Both my Husband and I really love reading so we added piles of books tied together with twine, the twine added to that vintage look we were going for. The first item I purchased was the Pop Vinyls, I wanted the commissioned art to reflect and connect to the Pops and there were a few couples I had trouble finding in funko toy form. Time worked in my favour, however, and I got the Pops I needed. There was no Ghostbuster couple, I just got that art commissioned for fun. You can see the rest of my table centrepieces at the end of this blog in the gallery.
The table runner and place mats were supplied by my Venue Barn1890. The amazing marauders map menus were purchase from SophiesLoveBirds on etsy. I printed the place cards with fonts from each theme onto standard Avery place cards.
My sister arranged the beautiful flowers on the tables and around the reception barn. She did it all with my baby nephew wrapped to her back. She’s pretty legendary and I’m very grateful to her for her hard work.
Each table had a theme, instead of table numbers we had table names. I designed the name plaque, printed them as photos and adhered them to foam. We decided something else was needed. After looking we decided on mini easels to hold them up.
