The Sweet Tooth Factory in located in Adelaide, South Australia
I contacted Tash through the contact page on her website and made an appointment to see her when I was visiting Adelaide for another wedding in May 2016.
We walked into her cake studio and met this bubbly, funny woman who I could just tell loved what she did.
I walked in to the appointment wanting an elegant yet subtly nerdy cake, I didn’t want to go too nerdy because I was trying not to freak my mother out. Turns out, she wasn’t something I had to worry about. In Tash’s studio was a large Alice in Wonderland cake that my mother instantly fell in love with. As I was talking to Tash, with my mother’s encouragement, my elegant but subtly nerdy cake turned into pure nerd joy topped with pure nerd whipped cream. We looked online for inspiration and picked out our favourites.
We combined them all to create this thing of beauty
Tash has a crazy level of detail. The finished result was better than anything we could’ve dreamed. Our cake was a mixture of white velvet with a raspberry ganache and cherry ripe with milk chocolate ganache. Deliciousness! She also made our cake toppers (that were next to cake as there wasn’t exactly a top!). They’re little Lobsters because…. Well if you watch Friends you’ll get that reference. If not see the GIFs below!
