Catch Up Tuesday: 5 Films I’m Excited For In 2017

I have missed the past two Fandom Friday’s and they were both extremely great prompts so I’m not going to let them pass me by! Today I tackled:

5 Films I’m Excited For In 2017

1. Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2 (May 5th)

I am O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D with Groot. Unbelievably obsessed. I need more Groot in my life.

Aside from Groot – Guardian’s of the Galaxy is the first of its kind. It’s an outrageous superhero movie with all the joy that James Gunn could possible stuff into it. I’m so excited for Volume 2, if it’s anything like Vol 1 then I’ll be over the moon.

The only downside would be that my wallet will now be empty due to all the new Groot merch.

2. Beauty and the Beast (March 17th)

Beauty and the Beast has always been my favourite Disney movie. I have loved Belle since the moment I saw her. My excitement when Emma Watson was announced was undeniable. Emma came into my life as Hermione so having a combination of my favourite Disney movie with one of my favourite actresses was just perfection.

I was sobbing throughout the final official trailer that was released today so I think that’s a fairly good sign of things to come. Watch the trailer I sobbed over below!

3. Despicable Me 3 (June 30th)

I honestly hated the trailer for this movie. It was awful. It gave no indication of what the film was about – it was basically a short clip disguising itself as a trailer. That being said, I loved the first two Despicable Me’s. I came across them only last year but they’re great and fun. My loyalty to the previous two are the only reason I am excited to see this. I’m pretending the trailer doesn’t exist. If you want to see the horribleness for yourself, however, I’ve linked it below.

4. Thor: Ragnarok (November 3rd)

It’s Marvel. It’s Thor. It’s Chris Hemsworth (Aka Kim from Home and Away). I’m excited. It could be 2 hours of Thor plaiting his hair and I’d be there.

5. Star Wars: The Last Jedi (December 15th)

I’ve only really been a Star Wars fan since 2014. That was when my Husband, then boyfriend, and I marathoned them all on May 8th – because we’re so punny.  Since then I have gotten a Star Wars Tattoo and devoted myself to the Jedi’s. I have no trailer to share with you, though I was fooled by a very good fan made one, so here is a poster!

Movies done!
